[comp.mail.elm] errors building elm 2.3 PL11 On ODT 1.1 dev sys version 1.0

Greetings,

I got some errors while building elm that I dont understand.
here is the output :

       cd filter; make -b install
        cc  -o ../bin/filter actions.o   buffer.o        filter.o        lock.o
parse.o          rules.o                 summarize.o     utils.o
../src/opt_utils.o -lc
Cannot link both coff and omf records.  Exiting.
*** Error code 1

Stop.
*** Error code 1

I am linking with -lc ... Perhaps this is not the proper library to link ?
