The University of Texas Medical Branch Office of Academic Computing and Biostatistics has a position open for a Unix systems programmer. We are presently running 4.2BSD on a VAX 750. Understanding of all aspects of Unix internals is required. We are a growing shop, supporting medical research for the university. Duties will include - modifications to the kernel and to systems programs to support specialized needs of this environment. - installation and modification of various packages. - customer support in programming. - development of various programs and systems. Immediate needs are communications with various non-Unix systems.
