The Job: We need a talented, creative person to be the architect of a powerful document production and graphic art system, starting with our software and hardware and limited only by your imagination. The Toys: Tektronix color ink-jet printer QMS high-resolution laser printers Hewlett Packard color pen plotters Dunn Camera (color slide and movie) Eight interactive color graphic systems For VAX 780s and one 750 running 4.2bsd The Qualifications: Must have experience developing software under the UNIX operating system. Must enjoy producing high-quality typography and graphic art. Prefer experience with TEX and/or troff. Should have M.A. in C.S. or B.A plus equivalent experience. The Place: The Microelectronics Center of North Carolina (MCNC) is a new national-level, non-profit microelectronics center. We are located in the burgeoning high-tech community of the Research Triangle Park near Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
