[rec.games.go] About CAISR tech report TR 91-128

daves@curie.ces.cwru.edu (06/13/91)

This posting is about the report "Machine Learning, Game Play, and Go"
which I announced as available earlier. If you have already read this,
or have no plans to, then this will not interest you.

Thanks for the many responses. Some of you could not FTP/print the
report for one reason or another, so I have sent out reports to the
following people at my own expense:

    David Fotland Prof. Paul Purdom
    J. Nievergelt Weiyu Chen
    Michael Dahmen Ercan Oztemel
    W. R. Moore Xiaofeng Li
    David Erbach Kiyoshi Shirayanagi
    Jeremy L. Mordkoff

This is getting expensive (and time consuming), so I have to ask that
other people who want a copy write directly to CAISR at:

Center for Automation and Intelligent Systems Research
    Case Western Reserve University
    Cleveland, Ohio 44106

and (sorry) include $5.00 to cover printing and postage. The
postscript remains available at caisr2.caisr.cwru.edu, as
pub/iku/thesis.ps.Z. Others have asked if I could make the latex
source available. It references a number of postscript pictures from
various sources (one reason the postscript is so big) so isn't of much
use without the supporting files/programs which were hacked together to
support this. Nevertheless, a file report.tex.Z has been added in
pub/iku. It was never meant for public consumption; you're on your
own wading through the latex directives.

Finally, for those of you who have had trouble printing on u*ix because
the postscript is so large, please take a look at the "-s" option of
lpr.

Some of you I could not reach by email; I hope this answers any
questions.
