UNIX SYSTEMS SPECIALIST CADO Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Continental Telecom, Inc., has an opening in its software development support area for a UNIX Systems Specialist. This position has full responsibility for the administration and enhancement of the Systems Department Software Development Facility. The present working environment includes a VAX 11/750 running Berkeley 4.2 BSD UNIX, a Motorola Exormacs running AT&T System V, a Codata 3300 running System III. The position supports teams working on projects such as: porting UNIX to Motorola 68020, data/voice communications, compilers, etc. Additional responsibilities include: design and implementation of necessary utilities and system enhancements, vendor interface and new equipment/software evaluation. Requirements include: BA/BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, 3 years experience working with UNIX systems (preferably Berkeley 4.X and/or System V) at both the kernel and utility levels. Experience working with a large software development facility and Source Control Systems/ Configuration Management Systems is desirable. Communications background is also helpful.
