Submitted-by: Bill Randle <billr@saab.CNA.TEK.COM> Posting-number: Volume 8, Info 5 Archive-name: v8Inf5 In order to form a more perfect games archive, I have placed a copy of the games that were distributed on the X11R3 tape and that have been posted to comp.sources.x into the games archive on saab. There is also a copy of the latest version of xtank (which now runs with no modifications on a Sun). All of these games have been added to the Index file and are available via uucp just like the games posted to this newsgroup. If you are looking for a ftp source, uunet.uu.net (amoung other sites) maintains an archive of comp.sources.x. As a reminder, X-Windows only games are posted to comp.sources.x. Games that have multiple display capablilities, of which X-Windows may be one, should be posted here. -Bill Randle Moderator, comp.sources.games Tektronix, Inc. games@saab.CNA.TEK.COM ------------------- Uucp info: saab Any ACU 1200 5039234494 in:-\r-in: ugames ssword: letmein An index can be retreived with the command (examples only): uucp saab!/usr/spool/ftp/games-archive/Index /usr/spool/uucppublic/Index Individual game sources can be retreived with the command: uucp saab!/usr/spool/ftp/games-archive/gamename.Z /usr/spool/uucppublic/gamename.Z for some single part games, or uucp saab!/usr/spool/ftp/games-archive/gamename/Partxx.Z /usr/spool/uucppublic/gamedir/Partxx.Z for multi-part games [or Patchx.Z].
