John FLUKE Mfg. Co. (a world leader in the electronic test and measurement instrumentation industry) is looking for a talented and motivated software engineer. This engineer will join a small, dedicated team in the early stages of a highly inovative product development program. The software engineering position involves definition, design, and implementation, of microprocessor-based software (generally written in C for the MC68000) imbedded in a state-of-the-art electronic test and measurement instrument. Software tasks include real-time control of hardware, user interface, device drivers, software tools. We will be using UNIX* running on VAX11/780 and SUN workstations. Requirements include BSCS or BSEE with computer emphasis and 4 years experience designing and implementing software, using high level languages and operating system (like UNIX). An understanding of hardware and microprocessor-based software would be helpful. Fluke is located in a forest-like setting with the Pacific Northwest as a backdrop. Fluke Park is less than 30 minutes from the University of Washington and Seattle's cultural and entertainment resources.
