The Personal Computer Group Operation of Hewlett Packard is a newly formed organization to develop strategies and products for HP's next generation personal computers. We are centrally located in Palo Alto, Ca. near Stanford University. We have job openings for engineers in the following areas: Software Development Engineers - Operating System BSCS/EE or MSCS/EE with minimum of 1-2 years experience in the area of operating systems or operating system utility development. Responsibilities include portation, validation, and enhancement of the UNIX* operating system utilities and commands. Candidates should have a 'C' programming language background, and experience with UNIX operating system is essential. Software Development Engineers - Hardware Diagnostics BSCS/EE or MSCS/EE with minimum of 2 years in the area of diagnostic development. Responsibilities will include specification, design and implementation of diagnostics for various hardware components of the system. Candidates should have knowledge of the UNIX operating system, and 'C' programming language experience is highly desirable.
