I am looking for a summer employment with a company as a software engineer. Specifically I am looking for a challenging position that would expose me to a systems level software design and development environment. Concerning qualifications, I am a Unix/C programmer familiar with both Unix System V and 4.2bsd. For courses, I have written a PDP-11 assembler, written a simple batch operating system, a Pascal lexical analyzer, and built a simple 8-bit microprogrammed computer. At present I am porting a version of Emacs from a VAX running 4.2bsd to a AT&T 3b2, modifying it for Unix System V and the hardware constraints of the small 3b2. I am very adaptable to new environments, both technical and social. I am willing to relocate anywhere.
