I am looking for a summer employment with a company as a software
engineer. Specifically I am looking for a challenging position that
would expose me to a systems level software design and development
environment.
Concerning qualifications, I am a Unix/C programmer familiar with both
Unix System V and 4.2bsd. For courses, I have written a PDP-11 assembler,
written a simple batch operating system, a Pascal lexical analyzer, and
built a simple 8-bit microprogrammed computer. At present I am porting
a version of Emacs from a VAX running 4.2bsd to a AT&T 3b2, modifying it
for Unix System V and the hardware constraints of the small 3b2. I am
very adaptable to new environments, both technical and social.
I am willing to relocate anywhere.

Aug 1984-Present). Supported 56 DEC PRO 350's, 4 AT&T
3B2's, and a VAX 11/730, helped student users, handled
system problems and provided site security. Wrote custom
software.
