A friend of mine is searching for a job, and I thought it would be expedient
to post to this news group. I hope that someone out there will have a job
for him.

He is Calvin Moses, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Calvin is new to the
computer field. About two years ago he decided to change his vocation as
a music teacher, and entered the Albuquerque Technical-Vocational Institute
in pursuit of a diploma in the area of Data Processing Technology.

Calvin focused his intense drive on his newly chosen discipline, and
excelled in all of the facets of his education. He was on the Honor Roll
at T-VI three times, and graduated in December of 1984 with an overall
GPA of 3.95. During his study there, he learned ANSI-COBOL, Assembler,
RPG II, BASIC, FORTRAN, and IBM JCL. He is familiar with a number of
systems, such as the IBM 4331, VM 370/OS and 4361 VM SP2.

Calvin received his BA in Music in 1969, and his MA in Music in 1972 from
the Pacific Union College in Angwin California. He has been a music
teacher, and Music Director at several schools, and served in the U.S. Army
in Germany as a Medical Specialist from 1969 to 1971.

Calvin is a fervent family man, and he undertook this drastic re-education
in hopes that a high-technology job would help him to better support his
wife and two children. Unfortunately, Calvin is now faced with the grim
reality that most high-tech companies have little or no interest in what
they may see as "late-comers" to the field. Instead, these companies seem
to want only hot-shot kids who are coming straight out of college with
their spanking-new BA's in CS.

I appeal to you to consider Calvin's ability, self-motivation, his drive
and his loyalty, and to give him a chance to show you that he can be an
outstanding employee.

Calvin is willing to re-locate, eager to learn, and ready to work hard.
Please give him a call: (505) 842-0904 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
(school phone), or at (505) 831-0227 (home). Alternatively, you may
reply to this account, or send physical mail to:
