<> Soon-to-be Graduate of Masters level Biomathematics program @ University of Washington looking for a position ( summer or possibly longer ) as a Systems Administrator, Programmer or Modeller. For the past year I've been the System Administrator for a venerable Pr1me 300 system here at the University of Washington ( at the Center for Fisheries, Forestry, and Wildlife Management ). My research has been in Ecological Modelling (aquatic). In addition to the Prime ( used primarily for computation intensive models ) I've been using CYBER, DEC-10, VAX (VMS and UNIX) computers as well as a variety of microcomputers. A plus to any Primos installation is a small set of *nix-like commands that we've written ( available at request ) that will run on any Prime 300 ( or higher ) computer. My most fluent language is FORTRAN ( any dialect ), followed closely by PASCAL. I also know C and FORTH but haven't yet written a major program in these languages. My B.S. is in abstract analysis ( U.W. Math dept. 1982 ). I very much enjoy working in an environment that requires mathematical, statistical and software expertise , such as my current Research Assistant position, but it is almost time to leave. I'd also like to work on a post Bronze-age machine, if possible. -- -"Daphnia Dave" Fetrow Kludgemaster of CQS { ihnp4, fluke, tektronix, uw-june }!uw-beaver!entropy!fetrow :UUCP entropy!fetrow@uw-june.arpa :ARPA
