       UNIX SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER and PROGRAMMER ANALYST III

                        Emory University

The Emory University Computing Center has two challenging positions
available for which we seek individuals with a knowledge of unix.
These positions not only allow you to apply your existing knowledge
of unix, but also provide an opportunity to broaden your computing
knowledge and experience through exposure to a rich and varied
computing environment whose future is expected to involve networks
of workstations.

The Unix Systems Programmer works in support of the Unix environment
provided by the Computing Center. This environment currently includes
two VAX 780's running 4.2bsd and connected by an ethernet. The
principal current use is in support of Computer Science instruction.

The Programmer Analyst III is a member of the User Services group,
which provides assistance to the entire Emory computer user community.
We need someone with a knowledge of unix and C who would be willing to
become knowledgable about the other computing environments that we
support. These currently include VAX/VMS, VM/CMS, IBM-PC and
Macintosh.  Duties involve writing software andd helping solve
problems.

Salaries are commensurate with experience. An attractive benefits
