OBJECTIVE
OBJECTIVE
OBJECTIVE Software and/or hardware development for scientific
                applications. Special interests include: computational
physics, numerical analysis, computer interfacing for
control or data acquisition, and noise in electronic
circuits. Prefer research or development environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS Broad background in physics and mathematics (including
                numerical analysis, statistics, signal processing).
Experienced in circuit building; program in assembly
language and higher-level languages (C, Basic, Fortran,
                Lisp).

EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE 1984 to present - Research Assistant, Department of
Physics, University of Utah. Researching noise in Low
                Temperature Physics. Design and construct
                superconducting integrated circuits; build electronic
test equipment. Thesis research includes analysis of
noise in Josephson junctions, and construction of a data
acquisition system for this purpose, by interfacing
circuits to a computer, and writing recording and
                spectral analysis software.

1984 - Programmer, Sid Rudolf, Remote Teaching Project,
Department of Physics, University of Utah. Designed,
implemented and demonstrated an interactive graphics
program in C for two communicating IBM PC's with digital
                tablets, emulating an electronic blackboard.

1982 to 1984 - Teaching Assistant, Department of
Physics, University of Utah. Responsible for
                supplementary teaching, individual student consultation,
and grading for several courses. Developed experiments
and wrote sections of student lab manual for Elementary
                Physics Lab.

1983 - Programmer, Department of Gastroenterology,
University of Utah Medical Center. Wrote a
user-friendly custom data collection and statistics
package for analysis of covariance of toxicity data.
