Columbia University has just been awarded a major grant by the National Science Foundation to establish a National Engineering Research Center for Telecommunications. Applications are invited for several posts as Research Scientists at the center. Research areas include: Analysis and New Systems Concepts VLSI Devices Hardware and Software for Telecommunications Technology of the Future Excellent laboratory facilities are available and include a network of vax 11-750's, Sun and Masscomp workstations. Applicants must hold a PhD in EE/CS or a related field and experience in software and/or hardware design. The positions are equivalent in rank to that of an assistant professor and salaries will be competitive.
