Hello! This is not a source posting, but an intro to the new method in which comp.sources.amiga and comp.binaries.amiga will be run from now on. As you may notice, the header in this article is quite a bit different than any headers I have posted in the past. It is taken somewhat from Rich Salz's methods of posting sources to his group, comp.sources.unix. I have decided to do a few things different though. The first difference is that the 'Archive-Name:' header will be in with the rest of the headers, instead of in the body of the message. The second difference is that I will not be including another header which states the volume and issue numbers, this is already in the subject line, and I felt it was not needed. Now, to explain the subject line. The subject line will have a new addition to it which contains a volume and issue number, or in the case of non-source postings like this, it will contain an 'info' number. The first form will look something like this: v02i001: <Real subject of message> This says that the posting is in volume #2, issue #1. This will be the first volume BTW, and all postings made prior to this date will be considered to be in volume #1. In the case of an info posting like this one, you will see a header like: v02INF1: Intro to volume 2 Which says that this is the first info posting of volume 2. I am not sure yet how many issues will be in each volume and more or less plan to play it by ear. I hope you all enjoy this new method and any suggestions on how to improve it will be gladly accepted! One suggestion that was given to me that I am yet undecided on was to move the volume info onto yet another header line called 'Volume:', but I am not sure if this would be good or not. Well, onto better things! (Like source postings!) -Doc
