Development will include incorporation of new graphics terminals into the system as well as exploring new methods for improving system performance. Person will work in a team to migrate current CAD schematics and layout entry/edit system to workstation environment. Team will also be responsible for designing and implementing enhancements to system to improve performance using this new hardware. Interface with engineer/layout designers and provide enhancements as well as improve the user interface of the system. Will provide both user- and developer-level documentation. Qualifications: 1-3 years experience in graphics systems. Must have experience in designing and implementing general purpose graphics systems as well as applications using graphics systems. Good verbal and written skills. Programming experience with high level languages (PASCAL, C, MAINSAIL, etc.) is required. A knowledge of many different types of graphics terminals as well as VLSI CAD is highly desirable. BS in EE or CS required. MS preferred. CAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER Description: Person will be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of an interactive schematics editor that is a part of Intel's engineering design environment, EDeN. Will be responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining new features and capabilities of the schematic editor. Will also be heavily involved with CAD tool integration projects that rely on the schematic editor. Will work closely with the EDeN team members, other CAD developers, design engineers and layout designers. Will provide both user- and developer-level documentation. Qualifications: Should have 1 - 3 years industrial experience, or equivalent academic experience, with large, interactive applications. Must have demonstrated ability to design and implement programs with complex data structures. Experience with interactive graphics applications is a plus. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Should have demonstrated ability to make tradeoffs in a complex, technical environment. Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, EE or related degree. Experience with large system development and complex data structures is a must. Must be fluent in high level languages (C, PASCAL, MAINSAIL, etc.). Experience with real-time, interactive systems a plus.
