Submitted-by: page@swan.ulowell.edu Posting-number: Volume 2, Info 1 Archive-name: doc/info1 Postings to comp.sources.amiga and comp.binaries.amiga are being phased out from Purdue and have resurfaced here at ULowell. The headers will be a little different -- each posting will have a Volume and Issue number, so you know that you got (or didn't get) everything in sequence. The 'informational' postings are similarly sequenced. Each group (sources, binaries) will be treated as a different group, as far as the issue numbers are concerned, so you won't necessarily see the same issue number in the two groups for the 'same' software. I'm starting with 'Volume 2' -- considering all of the past postings were in Volume 1, even though they were never named as such. The format of the postings to the sources group will usually be shar files (with some files uuencoded if necessary). Postings to the binaries group will be uuencoded arc or zoo files -- I lean towards Zoo format. Submissions are encouraged to some permutation of: amiga-sources comp-sources-amiga amiga-binaries comp-binaries-amiga use whichever you prefer; they all land in my mailbox. You can mail source and (uuencoded) binaries together, I'll sort them out here. swan.ulowell.edu will archive everything. Eventually I'll set up a email distribution service, but for now the only way to get the files are to use FTP. I'm always welcome to suggestions on how to make these groups easier to use. ..Bob -- Bob Page, U of Lowell CS Dept. page@swan.ulowell.edu ulowell!page "I can't tell the difference between ABC News and Hill Street Blues" -Bono
