As part of DARPA's Strategic Computing Program, the New York University
Computer Science Dept. is developing software for the automated analysis
of narrative messages describing equipment failures.  This research
combines an extension of our prior work on text analysis with the
detailed modelling of physical systems.  Work will be done on Symbolics
LISP Machines and VAXen.

We are looking for a programmer with LISP experience to join our team
of computational linguistics researchers.  Applicants should have some
experience or training in artificial intelligence and in computational
