OK, great--someone has suggested net.micro.msdos. Fair enough, but now we get to see everyone's vote, one vote per article, complete with 600 bytes or so of header each. Information content per posting: about 0.01%. Is the idea here to bombard the entire net with these silly (and inconsiderate) voting articles until someone gives in and creates the newsgroup just to stop the traffic? How many times does someone have to say that newsgroups are created in response to a demonstrated need? ("Demonstration" here means substantive postings, not "gee, I wish" votes.) And how many times does someone have to say that you don't "vote" (or otherwise respond to a poll) by doing followups? -- Dick Dunn {hao,ucbvax,allegra}!nbires!rcd (303)444-5710 x3086 ...I'm not cynical - just experienced.
