UNIVERSITY OF CALIFONIA BERKELEY Programmers (2) needed to support applications software for 4BSD UNIX systems on VAX, micro-VAX and SUN computers used for research and instruction. Responsibilities include installation, testing and maintenance of new and existing products, maintenance of on-line documentation and providing support for a large user community. Required: Substantial experience with UNIX and C, demonstrated skill in writing documentation for users at varying levels of sophistication and communication skills suitable for consulting with users and teaching non-credit courses. Desired: Familiarity with troff and its family of document preparation tools. Knowledge in other computer languages (Pascal, Fortran, etc.), databases (e.g., ingres) and other versions of UNIX (System 5, ULTRIX, etc.). Salary range $27.3K-$32.9K.
