We are a research centre established by three major European
computer manufacturers. Due to the expansion of the centre
and the pending installation of both new hardware and software
we wish to fill the position of a
SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER
in the Technical Support Group.
The groups' responsibilities include:
* Installation and maintenance of both hardware
and software on a variety of networked hardware.
e.g. VAX/785, Symbolics, Perq Workstations,
Risc, 8086 and 68k based machines.
* Support of the research groups in both the
use of the facilities and in the development
of specific applications.
* Evaluation of new software products and their
integration in existing/future environments.
* Involvement with our own network based projects
Candidates with experience in both UNIX (BSD 4.2 or System V)
and 'C' would be prefered although a minimum of two years
development experience on a comparable operating system will
be given equal consideration.

work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision should
