I was looking at ICMP packets on our network this morning and noticed that we're getting LOTS (about 1 every 5 seconds!) of "time exceeded" ICMP messages from ai-gw.ai.mit.edu (128.52.22.8) destined to icsd.uci.edu (192.5.19.4). The strange thing about this is that we don't have any connections with any place at MIT! I check icsd for current connections and find there are only 4 and that all 4 are to other machines on our local network! Maybe this has something to do with the fact that the whole Internet seems to be terribly bogged down these days?
