Well, I for one have been one of the more vociferous critics of
the WIN/VX product for quite some time. I have seen too many sites complain
of brain-damage and poor support. In addition, we ran the 2.3 version against
the Tek-CMU code and the WIN/VX just couldn't cut it.

HOWEVER, given the current number of sites running 3.0 and saying it
is quite capable, and the kind of response TWG has been putting forth
(witness Dave Crocker's article) and the very good experience support-wise
reported from new 3.0 sites, I think I might reserve judgement.

Now, if only they can make it as inexpensive as the Tek-CMU code
	:-).......

NIC.SRI.COM is not and was never the official name of any host.

No, nic.sri.com is not in the host tables that I have, #648. The
authoritive servers for sri.com, kl.sri.com and stripe.sri.com, both
claim that it does not exist. It looks like that alias was removed,
the question is, was it intentional?
