I'm trying to get some information on the exact process used to get a gateway up on the net. We want to do some testing of a pair of EGP gateways using two ports on loan from another program. What are the steps we need to take to bring the hosts down, bring the gateways up, notify the core gateways that they're alive, and then get the hosts back up and running? It's my understanding that there are some administrative steps missing in the above description of what we want to do, but no one I've talked to has the right answers.
