The Yerkes Primate Center of Emory University is looking for a
Computer System Coordinator.  This person will be responsible
for managing the Center's PDP 11/73 facility and developing
database applications for the Budgets and Accounting division
and an animal records system.  The accounting database is
currently running using INFORMIX with some custom C routines under
the UNITY (UNIX System III based) operating system.

This position is primarily an applications development position.
All hardware is on maintenance contract and funds are available
to hire outside consultants for installation of new hardware.
Extensive interaction with users is required, including training
on the applications developed. 

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer
science, or related field, and two years of experience.
Knowledge of UNIX and C are essential with database and INFORMIX
experience preferred.  Familiarity with 11/73 preferred, but not
required.  Yerkes is looking for an independent, self-motivated
individual with broad familiarity with UNIX-based systems and good
interpersonal skills.

Salary is from $1948.27/month to negotiable depending upon skills 
and experience.
