In RFC 903 (Reverse Arp Protocol) the statement is made that if a reverse arp packet is received with a opcode of either 1 or 2 (arp request, arp reply) that this packet can be passed on to the normal arp code for processing. My question is, when the normal arp code processes this request and decides that a reply is necessary, does the data link layer protocol field contain the value for ARP or RARP? Or for that matter, does it matter? Thanks. Bill King Allen-Bradley Company, Inc !{decvax, pyramid, mandrill}!abvax!wrk
