The distribution of the Tektronix VMS TCP/IP software to non-profit
organizations has been changed, effective immediately. Carnegie Mellon
University (CMU) and Tektronix (TEK) have agreed to a change in the method
of distribution of the CMU-TEK VMS TCP/IP software. The major aspects of this
distribution are:
1. The new distribution software will be called CMU-TEK IP package, and
will be distributed by CMU.
2. CMU-TEK IP software will not require a separate license from TEK; only
the CMU license will be required.
3. CMU-TEK IP will be licensed to be used on all DEC Computers including
workstations, such as the Micro-vax II.
4. CMU-TEK IP will be distributed in object and source formats.
5. All unfilled and future requests to Tektronix will be forwarded
to CMU for actual distribution.
6. CMU-TEK IP software will be available to non-profit and commercial
organizations.
