[net.news.group] whither fa.info-cpm

dave@uwvax.UUCP (Dave Cohrs) (09/26/84)

In have been busy installing the 2.10.2 software here at the uw.
Today I looked in our junk directory and found stuff for 'fa.info-cpm'.
This site is not listed in the active sites under the new distribution.
Is this a real newsgroup anymore, or should I blow the news away?

As I have stated before, the information that was (and I guess, is) sent
to group fa.info-cpm is *REDUNDANT* with the same information being gated
into net.micro.cpm. The net.micro.cpm group is gated bi-directionally
with the Arpanet, and is therefor a much more desirable forum than the
mono-directional fa.info-cpm. No one has come up with a reason for
keeping fa.info-cpm in light of this. Ergo, "blow the news away"!
