[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Ip gateways vs. RFC 1009

leonid@TAURUS.BITNET (02/13/88)

I am researching the available equipment that is able to interconnect
TCP/IP LANs via leased lines, i.e. IMPlets. If you are running such
a network or have seen a report on this subject I would be most greteful
if you send me your comments, or a pointer to such a report.

We know about the Proteon, CISCO and Bridge GS/3M gatewys, are there many
more ? How do these and others comply with RFC 1009 specifications and
recommendations ? Another aspect of interest is the ability of the Gateway
to act as a DECNET gateway at the same time.

Please send your replies directly to me via e-mail, since I am not subscribed
to this mailing list. Many thanks.
