		company requireing both managerial and technical experience.


EXPERIENCE:	NORTH AMERICAN PHILLIPS CORP., Medical Systems Division,
1983-1985	Shelton, CT.; Documentation Manager:
		Responsibilities included: Reporting to director of national
		service.  Supervised staff of 12 technical writers/illustrators
		and 6 support staff.  Worked with an operating budget of 
		$1,500,000 to produce/control 2,300 manual documentation 
		configuration, supporting planning, installation and service
		of X-ray, DVI, CT, NMR systems.  Liaison with European
		engineering, manufacturing, and training operations.

		- Implemented procedures to reduce documentation development,
		  revision, and distribution time resulting in 96% increase
		  in productivity.
		
		- Revised vendor selection criteria and costing procedures.
		  Reduced annual operating expenses and inventory/distribution
		  costs $250,000.

		- Reduced staffing requirements 25% via attrition and delayed
		  hiring, saving $121,000.

1982-1983	T-BAR DATACOMMUNICATIONS, INC., Wilton, CT., Technical 
		Publications Manager, Reported to Manager of Technical 	
		Marketing; Directed staff of product support & training
		specialists, and technical writers/illustrators.  Controlled
		$350,000 budget to produce applications engineering/sales 
		proposals and technical documentation.  Responsible for
		Marketing & Communications with European subsidiaries.

		- Proposed and expanded in-house technical documentation.
		  Reduced outside services requirements $295,000.

		- Developed entire training and user documentation for 
		  BELL-Canada installation.

1971-1981	ITT-NORTH TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY CENTER, Columbus,Ohio,
		Senior Technical Writer/Editor, resposibilities included:
		Reporting to Director of Engineering Design Services. 	
		Resposible for technical review & validation of documentation
		to ensure compliance with BELL standards.  Wrote and 
		illustrated design/functional specifications and systems
		manuals.
		
		- Promoted to Information Development Engineer, coordinating
		  documentation production resources; supervision of contract
		  technical writers/illustrators.

EARLY
EXPERIENCE:	BRISTOL-BABCOCK, INC.,Waterbury, CT., Technical Editor; 
		Directed documentation development and special
		projects.  Coordinated outside services for typesetting/
		printing documentation.  Supervised contract technical
		writers/illustrators.
