A few years ago (was it that long?) some kind soul posted a very elaborate explanation / expose about "ethernet in a can" a.k.a. delni boxes. It contained a nice list of features/problems/issues which I would like to read. Could someone send it to me or tell me where's it archived or ftp'able (or whatever). Something tells me it was someone from NASA/Ames (home of the P-3's) or a cad company or AMD? Truth is I don't remember. Help! Thanks in advance. -brad ps: could someone send me mail if this gets out; I'm not sure posting is working here. -- Brad Parker Cayman Systems "You are sleeping; you don't want to believe..." brad@Cayman.com - from a (yet another) Smith's tune

MICOM (1-800-LAN TALK) has just come out with an equivilant of the DELNI box called 8-4-1 Multiport Transceiver. Does everything the DELNI can plus costs less plus has more LED's on front panel to provide more status. Real nice! I have no connection with either DEC or MICOM other than that we use both here. -- ....................................... To Robert Miller(he who posted the plug for Micom/Interlan's Delni killer), Sounds like the same thing that the Cabletron Multiport has been doing for TWO YEARS...I also have no affiliation with these people other than using their equipment. Chris VandenBerg chris@acc-sb-unix.arpa
