I have looked at Draft M of the IEEE Systems Management
standard (Jan.87) and wonder if there is any standard
scheme for coding the ManufacturerID which is described as

"a string of not more than 3 octets that identifies the
manufacturer".

Yuko,

These are the same as the high order bits assigned to manufacturers
or other organizations by the IEEE when one acquires a block of
Ethernet addresses.  See RFC-1010, pages 12-15.
