I would like to get an access to the public domain software for remote bootstrap protocol - bootp (RFC951). Can anybody help? Joanna Karwowska karwowska@dg-rtp.dg.com -- Joanna Karwowska Data General, Research Triangle Park, NC <the known world>!mcnc!rti-sel!rtp46!karwowska

You can anonymous FTP the files 'bootp.client.shar' and 'bootp.server.shar' from the pub directory on safe.stanford.edu. The client code autoconfigures to find and boot from a couple of different ether interfaces (3COM/Interlan). The server runs under 4.X BSD UNIX. A number of vendors are now supporting this boot mechanism.
