I have been asked by an acquaintance from another company (without access to Usenet) to find out if there are public domain versions of Telnet and FTP for Unix. Actually, they have a Unix look-alike (no ATT code), but that shouldn't matter. He wants source code, but I believe object might also do if he knew exactly what the program expected from the OS and runtime environment. Replies can either be posted or emailed directly to me. Are there vendors that provide TCP/IP without FTP/TELNET? If so, you need a hell of a lot more than just FTP to do anything.
