[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Info on TCP/IP book wanted

wd@dg2kk.rmi.de (Walter Doerr) (05/08/88)

Can anyone please tell me the price of Doug Comer's book about TCP/IP.
I'd like to know because ordering US book here in Germany can be quite
expensive.

Thanks.

I got my copy at Reiter's bookstore in Wash. DC for $36.00 - I assume
this is the list price. I haven't read the whole thing yet, but it
appears to be an excellent overview of the subject...

I don't see any list price on it, I bought it at Stacey's in Palo
Alto, CA for $36.00. Beyond that you should probably call Prentice-Hall.

It's $36.00.

It is a very good book. Ties alot of things together that would never
be apparent from the RFCs. The nice thing is that he didn't try to
replace the RFC's, but rather gives an overview of the internet and
the protocols while refering to the RFCs for details.
