FNTA80@BUCLLN11.BITNET ("Alain FONTAINE ", Postmaster - NAD) (05/24/88)
Several people (some *very* knowledgeable) did care to answer to my posting on this subject. For those who wonder, the syntax for routes in RFC822 *does* use commas (I had overlooked the fact that a '#' specification is used, which implies separation by commas ; ooops..). Several people also did care to warn me about the fact that many mailers do *not* support routes. Don't be worried. I know. I am the postmaster here, managing a copy of the Crosswell mailer, with *no* route support. But I wanted to know for sure because I am distributing an utility for VM/CMS systems to extract information from RFC822 headers, and I want it to support the full syntax. Thanks again. /AF
