[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] More Ethertypes

hjs@LINDY.STANFORD.EDU (Harry Saal) (06/08/88)

Thank you for the list of Ethertypes and manufacturer ids you have
accumulated. It is valuable, since Xerox refuses to divulge their list
since it is "confidential", and they never chose to ask companies
their permission to "disclose" the existence of an assigned Ethertype.

Here are several more entries to add to your list:

0200 PUP **** this conflicts with IEEE 802.3/802.2 style network
0201 PUP Address Recog Protocol ***** ditto

0888 Xyplex
0BAD Banyan Systems
8080 Vitalink
8137 Novell
9001 Bridge (bridge management)
9002 Bridge (terminal server)
