	Graphics Project at IRCAM

IRCAM (an French institute for musical and acoustical research under the
direction of Pierre Boulez, which is part of the National Museum  of the
Centre Pompidou in Paris) is looking  for a programmer for a period of 
6 months to write an interactive graphical interface
to the FORMES program at IRCAM. FORMES is an object-oriented language
for the composition of music and the synthesis of sound. It is desired to
make the interface run on workstations including the SUN 2/120 and 2/50 as
well as the Apple Mac using as much of the network resources as possible
(that is possibly using the VAXs to compute sound file information).

Applicants should have a solid knowledge of C and Lisp as well as
good working experience with window systems.

Ircam's computer facilities include a VAX 780,  VAX 750, FPS array processor,
D/A and A/d  conversion systems, 4 SUN 2 systems and 9 Macs.
