	Graphics Project at IRCAM

IRCAM (an French institute for musical and acoustical research under the
direction of Pierre Boulez, which is part of the National Museum of the
Centre Pompidou in Paris) is looking for a programmer for a period of
3 months to write an interactive graphical interface to control a room filled
with movable acoustical panels.

The 'espace de projection' at IRCAM has on each wall triangular shaped panels
that rotate on motors. With these panels as well as the ability to lower
and raise the ceiling the room acoustics can be changed at will.

Many recordings are done in this room as well as several acoustical
experiments. The digital hardware interface to this room is complete
as well as a small operating system to control the panels themselves.

Now we need someone to write a series of graphics programs on an
Apple Mac to allow an easy and complete method to position the
panels as well as save and edit the room configuration.

Applicants should be well acquainted with the Mac's toolbox.
