Recently I have seen seven new mod.* groups created. They are: mod.singles mod.unix mod.std.c mod.std.mumps mod.sources mod.music mod.movies As far as I know the only valid mod group is mod.ber. Are any of these real? Should I just remove them? If they are not valid groups then who is the dummy who created them? Jerry Aguirre {hplabs|fortune|idi|ihnp4|ios|tolerant|allegra|tymix}!oliveb!jerry

Mark Horton is the one who sent out the "newgroup" messages for those. He should be posting something to net.announce explaining their creation. That should be in the very near future. In the meantime, just hold on. Oh, and don't be surprised if a few more mod groups show up in the meantime. -- Off the Wall of Gene Spafford The Clouds Project, School of ICS, Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA 30332 CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf%GATech.CSNet @ CSNet-Relay.ARPA uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,amd,hplabs,ihnp4,seismo,ut-sally}!gatech!spaf

The mod.all groups recently created are real. We are currently still organizing, but we expect an announcement to be made soon. In the meantime, sit tight. Mark Horton
