Senior software engineers to act as internal consultants to the corporate Systems Support group. Responsibilities include working with Tech Support engineers to help solve difficult customer problems; talking directly with customers when needed; researching questions and bugs involving data communications, DBMS, Lisp, and Unix kernel. Will act as an interface between Sun support engineers and Sun Engineering. Expertise in data comm, DBMS, or AI is a plus, as is knowledge of Unix internals. Systems-level hardware knowledge helpful. Requires strong systems programming background and excellent communication skills. BS required, MS in CS/EE or equivalent prefered.
