[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] DEC and TCP/IP

Greetings -

Is anyone out there thinking about, or in the process of developing
applications that will run on top of DEC's TCP/IP. For example, TELNET,
SMTP, FTP. It is my understanding that DEC will only be releasing enough
of the protocol stack to implement a NFS.

After speaking with one of the engineers who is working on DEC's TCP/IP
at DECUS, it appears that the additional functionality you are looking for
will be forthcoming in future versions. FTP and NFS are supported now, with
TELNET, etc to follow.
