The problem that I reported earlier to this list has been resloved. The problem was a "storm" of rlogin processes running on a TWG VMS Vax. The problem was caused by a process on a remote host. The remote host was running a process called ud which was described to me as a uucp/mail network daemon. Since this process was removed from the remote host the problems on my system have disappeared. ---Craig
