For RELAY.CS.NET, please switch from 10.4.0.5 to 192.31.103.4. For SH.CS.NET, please switch from 10.7.0.82 to 128.89.0.92. Starting Thursday, December 1, 1988, SH.CS.NET will also have the address 192.31.103.3, and this will become the preferred address, even though 129.89.0.92 will remain valid. The changes in Internet numbers are required by the CSNET CIC's continuing program of upgrading our equipment. The changes are reflected in our domain server, and should be invisible to you if your site gets its information from a domain server. The NIC has installed the new numbers in the NIC host table (in the hosts.txt.799 file from sri-nic.arpa). If your site depends upon the NIC host table, you should acquire a new copy immediately. We will distribute another message when all the functionality now handled by RELAY.CS.NET has been moved to the new machines and we finally decommission the old RELAY.CS.NET machine. ---Charlotte Mooers CSNET Staff
