I may be sorry I did this, but here goes:
in view of the existence of the OS-9 operating system for two different
processors (the 6809 and the 68000), as well as the interest expressed
both in net.micro and in mail to me in said operating system, it seems
to me not entirely proper that net.micro.6809 be a de facto net.os9;
therefore, I wish to propose a net.os9 (as well as possible alternative
names/positioning in the name tree). If consensus is that there's not
sufficient traffic to merit, so be it; I merely present the idea for
consideration.

I would like to add my support for this newsgroup, although I agree James
Jones; if there's not going to be enough traffic, skip it, but I'd like to
see it on the net.
And I have been known to add to the traffic of a newsgroup...

I think that net.micro.6809 and net.micro.68k will serve sufficiently as a discussion place for OS/9 articles. Therefore, I would vote against net.os9 which should be net.micro.os9 in any event. Joseph L. Wood, III AT&T Information Systems Laboratories, Holmdel (201) 834-3759 ariel!jlw
