[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] MILNET, EGP, ROUTING, PSN 7.0, RFNM BLOCKAGE

cpw%sneezy@LANL.GOV (C. Philip Wood) (12/22/88)

How about the following:

	1. EGP is now sending datagrams greater than 2048. I know, I've
	   received them.
	2. In order for this to happen, 5 or so fragments are generated
"back to back shall we say", assuming 512 byte fragments.
	3. We are now exercising a bug in new PSN software which cannot
handle soom magic number of back to back packets on a
particular channel? Resulting in a channel that is RFNM
blocked, it never clears, and the host is prevented from sending
	   on that particular channel.
