RFC 1043 by Thompson and Yatsuda (sp?) is the best definition of DoDIIS TELNET Network Virtual Data Entry Terminal (NVDET) Option. The earlier DIA publications are not terribly clear on what is required. Most of the implementations that I have seen are embedded in systems that are not publicly available and have a tendency to be application specific. I have not seen or heard of anyone touting that they have a publicly or commercially available TELNET product with support for the NVDET option.
