The March 1989 issue of ConneXions--The Interoperability Report (Vol.3, No. 3) is a special 40 page report on Network Management. It contains descriptions of both the CMOT and SNMP architectures, as well as articles on tools that are common to both systems (Case Diagrams, The SMI & MIB, etc.). An overview of Unisys' Network Management Language (presented at ACM SIGCOMM 88) and an article on UCL's Project INCA on Network Management are also included.
