Few companies are working on the very latest in RISC computer architecture. We here at National Semiconductor Corporation are looking for experienced professionals to work on our fourth 32-bit microprocessor. REQUIREMENT: All positions require a BSEE (MSEE, MSCS and/or Ph.D. preferred) and three to five years minimum related experience. You may also qualify if you have research background in the area of Reduced Instruction Set Computing. POSITIONS: "STAFF ENGINEERS" CMOS DESIGN: VLSI circuit design experience in CMOS/NMOS/XMOS. Logic design experience and knowledge of CPU design would be a plus. COMPUTER & SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE: Computer Architect with a recent background in Reduced Instruction Set Computing. Familiarity with IBM 370 and VAX architecture would be a plus. COMPILER DEVELOPMENT: Compiler developer with background in RISC architecture. Knowledge of UNIX environment is a plus. SYSTEM SOFTWARE: Operating Systems Developer or tools developer and background in Reduced Instruction Set Computer Architecture. Requires knowledge of UNIX internals.
