[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] YARD tool available + comments

I have YARD (Yet Another Routing Diagnostic) tool available. It is your good
friend and mine, "ping". I've added Ron Natalie's cisco emulation mode and
cleaned up my route record code. The fun starts when you put them together
for a bit (ping -co hostname). It is available, with updated manpage, as
"src/ping.shar" via anonymous FTP to rutgers.edu.

Having just turned off our only BSD VAX, I would be appreciative if people
could let me know that it still compiles and runs correctly under 4.3++. I've
verified that it works under Sun3 and Sun4 SunOS 4.0.1.

Would it be worth the trouble to modify the IP spec at this point? There are
two things I'd like to see in it, both concerning route recording, and I'm
sure others probably have had ideas to improve on RFC791 over the last 7 or so
years.
